Houston Volunteer Lawyers is always seeking additional volunteer attorneys to assist the most vulnerable populations in Harris County and the surrounding area. If you are a licensed attorney who is in good standing with your State Bar, then we need your help. As a volunteer attorney, you can join others who are filling the justice gap for veterans, domestic violence survivors, families facing homelessness, and many others who do not have access to legal representation. The HVL Pro Bono Portal allows you to see a list of HVL’s waiting cases, as well as sort and filter them by law type, client profile, language, and more. You can also download case documents, and access resources such as mentor contact information, forms, and CLE materials.
Houston Volunteer Lawyers hosts an online Pro Bono Portal that allows volunteer attorneys to see a list of waiting cases, searchable by law type, client profile, language spoken, and much more. You can review case summaries, run conflicts checks, accept a case on the spot, and download all of the relevant case documents you need to get started.

Pro Bono Texas was launched as a partnership between the State Bar of Texas and the justice tech company Paladin. The portal provides volunteer lawyers and law students with a centralized location to search and sign up for pro bono opportunities across the state.
