HVL seeks volunteer attorneys to assist low-income clients with basic estate planning, including wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Many clients are elderly, veterans, Spanish-speaking, or otherwise vulnerable and lack access to legal services, making this work critical to ensuring their wishes are honored and their families are protected. HVL provides templates, training materials, malpractice coverage, and ongoing support. Most cases take less than 10 hours to complete.
