HVL Update: COVID-19
The health and safety of the public, our employees, and our volunteers is of paramount importance to Houston Volunteer Lawyers. HVL attorneys and staff are currently working remotely to continue serving the public. Our phone line, (713) 228-0735, will be answered from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. At this time, the HVL office is not accepting in-person visitors.

Pro Se Assistance
The Law Library and Courthouse Booth pro se assistance in-person visits will be conducted virtually. Those seeking assistance should call 713-228-0734. You will then be directed to a voicemail. An HVL staff member will then return your phone call and obtain the information needed to set up your meeting with an attorney.
Due to the growing concerns regarding COVID-19, Houston Volunteer Lawyers' staff will be working remotely. If you need legal assistance, please fill out HVL's application and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Starting on Friday, March 27, HVL staff attorneys and volunteer attorneys will conduct legal advice interviews over the phone to those who submit an application and are eligible for HVL's services. Legal advice interviews will take place from 2 pm - 5 pm on Friday afternoons.
· Friday clinics are canceled until further notice.
· Saturday clinics are canceled until further notice.
· Law Library and Courthouse Booth pro se assistance in-person visits will be conducted virtually using links on HVL website.
· All events during the month of March that cannot be conducted by teleconference or video conference are canceled.
