Who: Seniors (60+ years old) and spouses, disabled persons, and veterans (of any age).
Eligibility: Low-Income. Applicants must be pre-screened over the phone before an appointment will be scheduled.
When: 2 days on April 8 & May 6, 2020. Clients must be able to attend both days.
Day 1 - April 8, 2020. Meet with a volunteer attorney to discuss your estate planning needs. Appointments are available every hour. The first appointment is at 8:00 am, and the last appointment is at 3:00 pm. There are no appointments at 12:00 pm.
Day 2 - May 6, 2020. Meet with your volunteer attorney to sign your estate planning documents. Appointments will be scheduled after your appointment on Day 1. Your Day 2 appointment will generally be at the same time as your Day 1 appointment time.
Beginning on Monday, February 4, 2019, interested applicants should call (713) 228-0735 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Space is limited, so call early to guarantee your space. The last day to call for an appointment is March 20.
