Veterans Taxpayer Problem Solving Day - Legal Advice Clinic

- Did you receive severance pay after January 18, 1991, for combat-related injury? Did you receive a letter from the Department of Defense? You may be entitled to a one-time IRS tax refund.
- Have you received letters from the IRS? Do you owe the IRS back-owed taxes? You may be eligible for legal assistance for your IRS tax issues.
Representatives from Houston Volunteer Lawyers, Neighborhood Tax Centers, and the IRS' Taxpayer Advocate Service will be available to assist veterans with any of their IRS tax issues.
The clinic is open to any veteran or their spouse needing advice. Individuals needing continued representation beyond the legal advice clinic generally must be residents of the Greater Houston area and have a household income no greater than 300% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.
