Escape. Relax. Raffle. Success!
Houston Volunteer Lawyers held its second annual Escape. Relax. Raffle. event at the House of Blues on Thursday, June 5. It was a huge success! The Raffle is a spin on the traditional fundraiser. Instead of asking for money, HVL asked lawyers to pledge their time for the chance to win big prizes. This year’s Raffle resulted in pledges for61 pro bono cases!
HVL thanks the generous donors of this year’s raffle prizes: Golf Club of Houston, Zadok Jewelers, the Houston Texans, Jackson Walker L.L.P., Beautique Salon & Day Spa, House of Blues, the HVL Board of Directors, and “Personality Prizes” Rusty Hardin, Harry Reasoner, Ruthie White, and John Eddie Williams. A special thanks, too, to Lainey Balagia, for donating the time of her talented band for the second year in a row!
