Hurricane Harvey Legal Relief Project
If you have been affected by Hurricane Harvey and need legal help, we are here for you.
- The State Bar of Texas Disaster Hotline has been activated: (800) 504-7030. The hotline — answered in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese — connects low-income people affected by a disaster with legal aid providers in their area who can help with such issues as replacing lost documents, answering insurance questions, helping with landlord-tenant problems, and handling consumer protection concerns such as price-gouging and contractor scams during the rebuilding process. Callers can leave a message at any time.
- If you wish to speak with a lawyer in person and apply for free, long-term legal representation through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers pro bono program, please call our Intake Line at (713) 228-0732 to find out about our next free legal advice clinic, where you can sit down face-to-face with an attorney to discuss your concerns and options.
Attorneys interested in volunteering to help victims of the storm with legal needs should register on our Portal. As volunteer opportunities become available, we will be in contact.
